Melissa Sheppard who has done floristry for nearly 13 years from her home studio has finally opened her own store
A brand-new florist has opened its doors in Nottinghamshire town. After working in floristry for nearly 13 years, Melissa Sheppard, 41, has branched out and opened Everlong Flowers in her hometown, Netherfield.
“I’ve been a florist for about 12/13 years now, never owned my own store I’ve just been working from a studio at home. I’ve decided it was time to take the risk and branch out.” Before opening her shop, Melissa had been working for three weeks to transform the unit, which is a former hair and beauty salon, into a ‘modern’ and ‘welcoming’ florist.
The florist is painted in a beautiful pink colour with hints of green and white, with a lovely floral display in the window. She added: “I just wanted something modern, something warm and welcoming that will attract people in.
