Exclusive Beneath the Fold Trailer Previews Newspaper-Set Noir Crime Drama

ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive Beneath the Fold trailer, previewing the upcoming newspaper-themed noir crime drama about print media.

The Beneath the Fold trailer shows off a bit of the film’s homage to the classic 1957 film 12 Angry Men. Set entirely within the conference room of an upstate New York newspaper struggling during the 2007-09 recession, the film follows a team of local news people who discuss the changing world of media, resources, and more as they clash over a mystery story that involves one of their own.

Beneath the Fold is set to release on North American video-on-demand platforms and on DVD on October 8, 2024. “The plot involves a team of local news people who cope with the realities of a changing world, waning resources, and a clash of personalities,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “The time and circumstances are detrimental to the staff in all ways but one–unbeknownst to them, their managing editor was involved in a hit-and-run, and their lack of resources gives him hope he can escape justice not only by the police but by his reporters.
