'It’s especially great to see Scottish talent really being showcased.’
Lewis CapaldiLewis, 22, has become man-of-the-moment thanks to his unstoppable ballad Someone You Loved, which spent seven weeks at number one in the UK becoming one of the longest-running songs in the chart’s history.
Being Scottish isn’t the only thing Emeli and Lewis have in common as both are partial to a big power ballad.Emeli, who has just released her new album Real Life, teamed up with Professor Green for their iconic number one ballad Read All About It back in 2011. ‘I think that’s what made the song so powerful. Because from the beginning, it was made with such honesty and then that inspired me to give my truth, just seeing how open and exposed and vulnerable he allowed himself to be artistically.’
‘I wanted to make this album from a real place of purity and and hopefully one in which it could help others just through the journey that I’ve been on,’ Emeli explained.Emeli’s back with newfound confidence
