Queer as Folk boss teases more Russell T Davies connections following surprise cameo
He further recalled his nerves about the meeting:"We had this meeting underneath the Babylon sign – like, literally, in the office. It was in the office there, and it was so daunting. I was so intimidated. I was like: 'Hey, I have this vision for this iconic show that you're the godfather of'.
"I felt not worthy to be there at all. But I just came in with a lot of confidence and a lot of anger and a lot of frustration at the current climate and landscape – but ultimately a lot of hope. And he really connected, I guess, with the vision of the show, specifically centring on a show about the community rebuilding, and saw this as a way to expand on the legacy of the series.
