West Ham have decided to offer right-back Vladimir Coufal a new contract at the club rather than sell him,The 32-year-old’s current deal is up at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.
The Irons are keen to keep the Czechia international at the London Stadium despite summer signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka passing him in the pecking order at right-back. The full-back is one of the most experienced members of the West Ham squad having joined the club back in October 2020, shortly after the arrival of countryman Tomas Soucek.Coufal has played nine times across all competitions this term, starting in four of those outings.He has been relegated to a back-up role in the Premier League after Wan-Bissaka joined from Man United in the summer window.
