We all enjoy the run up to Christmas , but if you've got lots of things to do, organise and buy, it may seem like a bit too much.
“Burnout is often used to describe a chronic build-up of stress without break,” explains Dr Sandi Mann, senior psychology lecturer at the University of Central Lancashire. “This can lead us to ‘burnout’, like a wire that has had too much electricity running through it.” This kind of burnout can have both mental and physical consequences.
