Households will see their yearly water bills rise by an average of £123 from April 1

An expert has shared their 'secret weapon' to help reduce water bills and save money on energy. It comes as homes across England and Wales will see an average £123 or 26% percent increase to their yearly water bill from April 1.

Here is the expert's five top tips to reducing your water usage and saving everal pounds in the process: Aerators are also cheap, usually around the £10 mark. He says the average family home can save as much as 1,274 litres of water per month by fitting a water-saving aerator to their kitchen and bathroom taps, according to water companies such as United Utilities.
