Bong was known as an ace pilot during World War ll. He loved both planes and his girlfriend, Marge. He loved her so much that he painted her face on his P38 aircraft."From that point forward its existence very much remained a mystery," Lundberg told the outlet. A few months ago, the Bong Center reached out to Pacific Wrecks, a group that works to solve World War ll mysteries.
