This article discusses the portrayal of outer space in the Fallout video game series, which is set in an alternative universe after a nuclear apocalypse. It explores the fascination with space and the advancements that occurred before the Great War of 2077.

The world of Fallout is set in an alternative universe that diverged after World War II and generally reflects mid-20th-century-style science fiction as well as the advancements of the Atomic Age, eventually becoming a retrofuturist vision of Earth before global thermonuclear war happens in the year 2077.

Before the bombs fell, the Griffith Observatory was affiliated with the infamous Vault-Tec Corporation, the pre-war defense corporation that designed and implemented for the U.S. government a network of massive bunkers known as, you guessed it, Vaults. Information on its pre-war purpose is limited at the moment, but we do know it was designated as a"Science & Friendship Center" unlike the Vaults.

As for the highly recognizable Nuka-Girl, she was a promotional character made for the Nuka-Cola Corporation, with its original creation happening around the in-universe year of 2062. Traditionally, she's depicted on the many in-game posters in a pin-up style and as a blonde woman with a retro ray gun: the Thirst Zapper.

Like many other elements of the Fallout universe, the Zetans are based on popular culture. In this case, the reference was the"" commonly referred to as Zeta Reticulans by those who believe in alien visitors and scary abductions, and so Fallout 3 introduced them as a secretive alien species that's been abducting humans and animals for a very long time.

Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game Confirms Inclusion of Theme SongKiller Klowns from Outer Space: The Game Confirms Inclusion of Theme SongThe Killer Klowns from Outer Space movie has a lot of moving parts that turned it into a cult classic horror film, and one of those parts is the theme song that sets the mood for the movie right from the beginning. The movie's theme song is aptly called 'Killer Klowns (From Outer Space),' and if the creators of Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game were trying to make a faithful movie-to-game adaptation, it reasons then that the game would have to include the theme song, too. There was concern this week, however, that the game wouldn't actually use the theme song. Michael Pilmer indicated as much on social media on Friday by posting that the song 'won't be in the upcoming Killer Klowns Video Game' and that its absence was a mistake. Fortunately for fans, it appears those concerns about the song were unfounded, because Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game publisher IllFonic has confirmed that the 'Killer Klowns' song will indeed be in the game.
