Aston Martin want to sign Max Verstappen from Red Bull in an F1 transfer worth £1billion but Jacques Villeneuve says he won't accept it.

Verstappen’s camp meanwhile issued their own response when asked for comment, bluntly stating: ‘That’s nice.’ Speaking to Action Network before the story came out, 1997 world champion Villeneuve was asked if Verstappen would be a good fit for Aston Martin with Alonso likely to retire after 2026. Jacques Villeneuve won the 1997 F1 championship with Williams ‘Lawrence Stroll would need someone that’s very strong mentally and hard-headed to replace Fernando Alonso,’ the Canadian said.
