Formula 1 star and golf obsessive Lando Norris has admitted to talkSPORT that he would have loved to have joined Gareth Bale at Pebble Beach.
The British McLaren driver has fast become one of the biggest names in motorsport, taking his car beyond its means to an impressive six podiums.But he’s just as at home on the course Considered by many as the second-best performing driver on the grid last season – behind Max Verstappen – the 23-year-old also finished runner-up to the world championNorris was the only driver outside of Red Bull, Mercedes and Ferrari to take home a podium, with his undoubted title-winning potential on display.Despite that, he’s often seen spending most of his spare time partaking in another sport – golf.
Williams driver and good friend Alex Albon recently joked that Norris plays ‘way too much’, and recited a story about him landing from a 20-hour flight to Australia and heading straight for the course., where celebrities play alongside the best golfers in the world, that Norris was annoyed he couldn’t make it.
