Fans back home could get the chance to watch the Lionesses secure World Cup victory alongside thousands of others should England book their place in the final.’s office has said that City Hall will “work with partners to look at the best way to enable Londoners to come together to support the team” if England make it to Sunday’s match.
Last year’s Euros victory was screened in Trafalgar Square to 7,000 supporters who attended for free on a first-come-first-served basis. A spokesperson for the Mayor of London said: “We encourage Londoners to come together this Wednesday to cheer the team onto glory and support pubs, bars and restaurants across the capital.
“Should they reach the final, City Hall will work with partners to look at the best way to enable Londoners to come together to support the team on what is sure to be a momentous occasion.”
