Fabio Carvalho has been the subject of a failed £15million bid from Southampton after scoring for Liverpool in their 3-0 victory over Manchester United
Fabio Carvalho has already admitted he would like to force his way into the Liverpool XI under Arne Slot , after the Reds rejected a bid in the region of £15million from newly-promoted Southampton. Saints had previously been interested in Carvalho on loan in January, only to miss out to Hull. After struggling at RB Leipzig during the first half of last season, Carvalho excelled for the Tigers at the back end of the campaign, scoring nine goals and adding two assists in 20 appearances.
And last week, Carvalho revealed he has held a meeting about his future to new boss Slot, who replaced Jurgen Klopp as manager earlier this summer. Speaking after their victory over Real Betis on July 26, Carvalho said: 'We’ve had a few conversations which I’m not going to go into detail about but he wants me to get my head down and work hard and see where that goes.
