Drivers scanning the signs have not been directed to sites where they can pay ULEZ fees

Fake 'ULEZ' signs with QR-code links to fake payment sites and 'The Wombles' theme tune have been removed by a local council. Hertfordshire County Council say they are removing the signage, which look identical to Ultra Low Emission Zone zone signs - but were not installed by the authority.

Some of the QR codes attached to the signs, located in Rickmansworth and Croxley Green, Hertfordshire, direct people to adult content websites. Others directed scanners to the theme tune of the 1970's children's TV show 'The Wombles'. The council have also reminded drivers that there are no ULEZ zones within Hertfordshire - and that Transport for London's signs do not feature QR codes. Councillor Phil Bibby said: "Hertfordshire's stance on the mayor's Ulez remains the same, we will not permit TfL signs in the county and believe that TfL should redraw the boundary inwards and warn motorists of the impending zone inside London.

"If it was all fun that would be great, we have a great sense of humour in this country and our residents would have a giggle, but they're not. We don't want Ulez signs on our county roads, so if you do see one the chances are it's a scam sign, it shouldn't be there."

Drivers' Meeting on Stewards' Decisions Lacks AttendanceOnly eight out of 20 drivers attended a crucial meeting with the FIA in Mexico regarding the inconsistency and transparency of stewards' decisions. The drivers have been critical of the stewards' actions, citing instances such as Lando Norris's penalty for unsportsmanlike behavior and Charles Leclerc's escape from punishment for a similar offense. The FIA organized the meeting to address these concerns, but only a fraction of the drivers showed up. The FIA aims to improve transparency and ensure appropriate punishments, as drivers continue to express their dissatisfaction in the media.
