Dunfermline rarely threatened in the opening period but began asking questions after the break. Neither Lewis McCann nor Craig Wighton could get a vital touch to a teasing cross and the visitors would be punished just before the hour. Dunfermline did find a response against the run of play after Lewis McCann headed a David Wotherspoon free kick past Nicky Hogarth on 72 minutes.
