Does the latest entry in the Flanaverse deliver on scares?
Mike Flanagan has delighted horror fans since his feature film debut Absentia, going on to direct the likes of Hush, Ouija: Origin of Evil, and Stephen King adaptations Gerald’s Game and Doctor Sleep.
Now, Flanagan is set to release his final series with the streaming giant and his most ambitious yet, adapting the legendary tales of gothic poet Edgar Allan Poe.Fall Of The House Of Usher, set to be released on October 12 on Netflix, follows the Usher family, headed by patriarch Roderick Usher , and the vast pharmaceutical empire they have built up through Fortunato and its miracle drug, Ligodone.
From the opening scene of Fall Of The House Of Usher, the dark and tragic tone of the show is set as we join Roderick, his young wife Juno , Madeline and Arthur at the funeral of three of his children.
