A massive tree damaged four mobile homes in Lynnwood and displaced 16 people Saturday.
South County Fire said the tree crushed portions of three mobile homes and undermined a fourth.Fire crews said high winds brought down the conifer Saturday afternoon before 3 p.m. at the Martha Lake Mobile Home Park at 415 Lakeview Road, not far from Martha Lake.
"Thank goodness it wasn't at night otherwise it would have been bad," said Perez, "We were all scared, the kids are scared, they didn't want to come back to the house. It was very scary." Perez said 80% of their home was damaged by fire, and they were just nearing the end of those repairs and remodeling.
