Atlantic City will arrive in Fallout 76 in December, and Bethesda has now revealed some juicy details about the upcoming Expeditions we'll be embarking on.
Bethesda has been pretty quiet about Atlantic City since announcing it during the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase last year, but a new developer diary has finally given us some insight into the exciting new Expeditions.
"No place was untouched by the war, but Atlantic City weathered better than most," Moretto said."It was a tourist destination with no real military or strategic value, so it wasn't a direct target when the bombs fell." Atlantic City is a coastal gambling town that sports a busy nightlife, electricity and running water, and general prosperity compared to other settlements.
"The Municipal Government keeps the lights, water, and food running in Atlantic City," Moretto said."Then we have the organized crime rackets of The Family and a chaotic guild of entertainers known as The Showmen. Each of them controls something vital to the continued functioning of Atlantic City." Atlantic City will arrive in two updates, the first of which will roll out on December 5 and will include two Expeditions, followed by a third Expedition and a variety of quests sometime after that."Each of our three Expeditions invites you to work closely with one of the three factions and help them achieve their primary goals," senior quest designer Ellys Tan said.
Although each of the Expeditions will see us helping the factions with their own troubles, Atlantic City is also under threat from the mutated creatures found in the New Jersey Pine Barrens, so we'll be aiding the city with that continued threat along the way. When not facing mutated threats or navigating the political troubles of the city, we'll be able to play in one of the casinos run by The Family and even earn casino games we can take back to our own settlements.
