Where does Fallout New Vegas sit on your list of your all-time favorite games?
In a documentary for Obsidian's 20th anniversary, studio head and founder Feargus Urquhart discusses being"a little bit disappointed" Fallout New Vegas shipped with bugs.
launched back in 2010 and has since become a huge favorite with players. In a new documentary, Urquhart talks about working on the game and his thoughts looking back.“As a studio, through our first projects... we had gotten to have a reputation that we ship buggy games. And there’s some absolute truth to that and I think there’s also a certain amount of things that it’s sort of like… I think it was talked about more than it was true," Urquhart says.
Urquhart adds that there was an expectation for a quick timeline for Fallout New Vegas."We signed the deal in April and we had to get the game done by October. So in essence, about an 18-month timeframe… there did end up being quite a few bugs in the game.
On the other hand, Urquhart adds,"I feel good about it because they also tell me it’s their favorite game of all time. So even though it was buggy, they love it as the top ten games that they’ve ever played in their life.”
