Relatives were called to a hastily arranged meeting earlier this week and say they have been told that the 44-bed facility will close at the end of June alongside the Skye View Care Centre on Arran Drive in Airdrie – leaving just three weeks for residents to be rehomed. He told the Glasgow Times: “My mum has dementia and she has settled in at the home really well. People with an illness like hers rely on familiarity and routine and I’m worried what this could mean for her and others like her.
