Through the Household Support Fund, struggling families can receive help on their energy bills, with food costs and more
We're all spending a bit more money on our energy bills this month. It's getting chillier by the minute, the heating's going on early and the Energy Price Cap increased last month. It comes as part of the Household Support Fund, a scheme that provides local councils with funding to help out their communities.
The council says: 'The funding is not means tested and residents do not need to be claiming benefits in order to be eligible.' Funds are distributed to local councils to aid those in greatest need within their communities. Each council offers various forms of support, including cash grants and food vouchers.
