Melanie Evans, 42, and son Max, 12, flew out from Manchester Airport for the whirlwind trip
A mum and her son managed to enjoy a whirlwind day trip to Africa for just £115. Melanie Evans, 42, from Chesterfield, Derbyshire , decided that a brief visit to Morocco would be an ideal way to sample the country to see if she liked it.
Melanie and her 12 year old son Max took off on a 5.45pm flight from Manchester Airport, touching down in Agadir at 10am local time, where they were greeted by a sizzling 27° heat. With only hours to explore, the duo made the most of their time, visiting numerous local attractions before their return flight from Agadir–Al Massira Airport at 9:35pm on November 30, arriving back in Manchester at 00:30. Despite the short duration, they managed to see an impressive number of sights.Melanie, who works in car sales and has previously taken day trips to cities like Barcelona, Milan, Dublin, and Belfast, was particularly drawn to Morocco by the promise of warm weather.
"We enjoyed the day, but it felt as though, in one minute, we were in Morocco; the next, we were in Aldi, doing the food shop."The pair didn't waste any time upon arrival, immediately taking a taxi to the beach for a few hours of relaxation. They then rode a cable car up to the Kasbah and grabbed lunch at McDonald's."I’d go for longer. It was good to have a little taste of what it is like.
The cost breakdown for their adventure was remarkably cheap: This brought their total spend to £178.14.
