Loved for its 'legendary welcome and super-authentic BBQ classics' at sites including Poynton, Wilmslow and Preston, it'll be the first time the brand, which is now owned by Greene King, has ventured into Greater Manchester.
Staff, including a head chef, are being recruited for the new site, which is scheduled to open in 'early 2025'.Greene King says the kitchen will be delivering 'an authentic fresh-food based bbq menu in one of the busiest restaurants in town'. Families love the tasty milkshakes and desserts, including Hickory's famous Fro-Co frozen custard, where guests can head over to the topping station to select their favourites.
When it took over the company in 2022, Greene King announced its intention to grow it into a national dining brand - 'to accelerate the national roll out of the Hickory’s brand beyond its North West heartland, with significant growth over time by optimising Greene King assets'.
