A fire broke out at a family home in Tameside on Boxing Day, prompting a swift response from emergency services. Five fire engines attended the scene on Talbot Road in Hyde, where firefighters battled the blaze into the early hours. Thankfully, there were no casualties, and the family was out at the time of the incident. Neighbours expressed shock and relief, praising the quick arrival of the fire services and thanking their lucky stars that the family was unharmed.
Neighbours have spoken of their shock after a fire broke out at a family home in Tameside. Emergency services were called out to Talbot Road, in Hyde , shortly after 10.30pm on Boxing Day .
As one fire engine remains stationed on Talbot Road, neighbours have spoken of the moment the fire broke out. Another neighbour said: “I made the call at 10.32pm. I don’t know what caused it but there were five engines outside and a pump. They were here within minutes of me calling. It was all on the top floor, we've heard. They’ve been here all morning.”
“They’re such lovely people as well, it couldn’t have happened at a worse time than this. I’m just glad they are ok.”
