Coastguard teams had to rescue two other families in the same situation as torrential rain and thunderstorms hit the area.
A FAMILY including two children had to be rescued by boat after their camping spot became submerged in water.
The crew found the family at Ardleish on the east shore, and took them to Ardlui Marina where they were placed in the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.It comes as torrential rain and thunderstorms battered Glasgow and the west over the weekend. Pictures posted by Greenock Coastguard Rescue Team on Facebook showed two tents partially submerged in water.
