A fund had been opened to help give the popular Perth man a great send-off.
On Wednesday, October 11 in Perth the “one in a million” Big Issue seller Rab Lakie will be laid to rest.
The Big Issue gave him a badge to sell in 2003 and for over two decades he stood on the pitch, a blank doorway outside M&S. One wrote: “He always had time for a wee blether with everyone. Rab will be sadly missed by all who knew him.”Fiona Mcwilliams said: “Rab was one in a million. Everyone’s friend.”
“And yes, following on from a suggestion someone put up, we would love to get a plaque for Rab’s doorway.”Afterwards he will be laid to rest in Perth's Wellshill Cemetery at 3pm.They wrote on the page: “As most of you will know, our beloved Rab Lakie passed away on Thursday, September 28.
