Neil Whannel has been remembered as a 'lovely boy and great soul'.
The family of a much-loved man who died in Glasgow has said they are 'desperate' to his body home to Dumfries.The 37-year-old had moved to the city to continue his recovery but sadly passed away suddenly leaving his family devastated.
Neil, who has a 13-year-old son, has been described as a 'lovely boy and great soul' by a close family friend who has launched a fundraiser to have his body returned home. "He was a gentle soul and a really lovely boy. He had become quite well known in the recovery community so we've already received a lot of donations which is incredible."
