Cheryl Shaw says she is struggling to live in the cramped and mouldy conditions.
A family of eight - including seven kids all under the age of 16 - have been 'forced' to live in a cramped one-bed council flat.
Behind the sofa is used as storage space for clothing with nowhere else to go. Despite lodging numerous complaints about the cramped and mouldy condones, Cheryl says she has never had anybody come out to see the flat. The council told the M.E.N no five-bed socially rented properties have been available in the area since July 2021. Cheryl claims she has been advised to move further out of Manchester for a better chance of successfully bidding on a larger flatShe said: "Even if they give me a three bed I can make it work. I just want them to give me a house that's suitable for me and the children."Cheryl continued: "The children have always got coughs and colds. The damp worries me.
"I honestly don't know where to turn. I have done everything. All I want is a little bit of help and for my children to be able to sleep properly and go to school with a fresh head."
