The family of a slain Grand Rapids woman said they are annoyed and shocked by former President Donald Trump's speech on immigration Tuesday.Her accused killer, Brandon Ortiz-Vite, a 25-year-old citizen of Mexico who illegally entered the United States, admitted to detectives that he shot Garcia multiple times during an argument before dumping her body on US-131, records show.
"Ruby's family is left grieving for this incredible young woman. They say she had the most contagious laughter and lit up a room and I have heard that from so many people, I spoke to some of her family," Trump said.
"It's a border bloodbath that is destroying our country," Trump said. "It is a very bad thing that is happening and it is going to end when I take office." Many Michigan voters are concerned about illegal border crossings and polls are now showing that Trump has an advantage over Biden when it comes to immigration issues.
