In a shocking clip taken in Terminal 2 on July 23, the man is seen to be kicked and stamped on by a police officer.
The family of man who appeared to be stamped on by police at Manchester Airport are making plans to lodge a formal complaint with Britain's Police watchdog.
Police confirmed earlier this week that three officers sustained head injuries and a broken nose in the fight, saying the violence in the viral video had been "the last of three altercations" in just over one hour. The family have now demanded to know "on what legal basis" the video should be shown to a politician before they were given an opportunity to see it. Mr Anwar said that, while any of the family found to engaged in criminality should be "subjected to due process", that there should "never be any legal justification" for the use of "excessive, disproportionate and potentially lethal force against a civilian who is incapacitated and poses no threat".
