Family of missing Alexander Clarke issue desperate appeal 10 years on from disappearance in Fife

A fresh appeal has been launched in the search for missing Alexander 'Sandy' Clarke, who vanished ten years ago today.

Sandy, who was 37 when he was reported missing, was seen at 2am on June 4, 2013. The last sighting of him was at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy in Fife as he exited the facility and made his way along Hayfield Road. Despite extensive searches by police and public appeals from Sandy's family, he has not been seen or heard from since. Sandy is described as 5ft 10in tall, of a slim or average build, with short, receding brown hair and has brown/green eyes.

He has tattoos on both arms and a tattoo on his neck of a woman's name. At the time of his disappearance, he was also carrying two 'Sports Direct' bags containing clothes. Speaking on the 10th anniversary of his disappearance, Sergeant Gordon Cameron, Fife Missing Persons Coordinator said : “The past ten years for Sandy’s family and friends have been very difficult, not knowing what has happened to him. My thoughts are with them as another anniversary passes. Our enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding his disappearance continues, and any new details will be thoroughly investigated.
