The family of tragic Dunblane teenager, Murray Dowey, will host a charity football match at his beloved Stirling Albion to raise funds and awareness for mental health charities.
A special charity football match is to be held in memory of tragic Murray Dowey at the home of his beloved Stirling Albion.
The 16-year-old was contacted on Instagram by someone claiming to be a young girl who asked him to send an explicit photo of himself before blackmailing him with it. “This event is a lovely way to celebrate who he was and raise funds for local mental health and sports charities, who will ensure that young people who are struggling receive the support they need.”
“Murray was a huge Stirling Albion fan, and this event is a wonderful way to celebrate his life,” said Emma. “We’re proud to support Murray’s Match and the important cause it represents,” said Stirling Albion general manager Christine Curtis. “Murray’s passion for our club and positivity embodies the spirit of what Stirling Albion stands for. We encourage all our fans to come out and support this special match in his memory.”
