A renowned Scottish artist will have three pieces of artwork unveiled at Glasgow Airport next week.Our World’ was created by Gerard M Burns and commissioned by AGS Airports.
The three-panel piece also includes pupils from St Anne’s Primary School in the Gallowgate area of Glasgow.Speaking on the work, the portrait artist who has previously captured the likes of Billy Connolly and Ewan McGregor, said:"This has been an amazing project from start to finish, and has given me a chance to really push the boundaries in terms of what I'm capable of as an artist.
The children in the artwork joined over 80 invited guests in the terminal today to preview the work ahead of its installation next week.Ronald Leitch, operations director at Glasgow Airport, said:"This project will have been nearly two years in the making from the original discussion to the final unveiling next week, so I’m thrilled that we’ll finally be able to put this stunning piece by Gerard on display to our passengers and staff.
