BBC viewers have all been making a similar comment about Sarah Lancashire, as they hailed drama series Happy Valley as 'the best show on TV', with many left disappointed that it won't be returning after the current season.
The Manchester Evening News has shared the real life of Sarah Lancashire, who grew up in Oldham, before working as a drama tutor at the University of Salford before landing her breakthrough role as barmaid Raquel Wolstenhulme in the ITV soap Coronation Street from 1991 to 1996 and again in 2000. Chloé Kenny wrote: "Amazing actress. Nobody wants happy valley to end!" as Sharon Baker typed: "Love Sarah Lancashire, wonderful actress. Sad that this is the last of Happy Valley, best programme on TV, hope she's on our screens again soon."
