Soap fans were left scratching their heads when the likes of Emmerdale, EastEnders and Coronation Street lost out at the BAFTA TV Awards at the Royal Albert Hall
Viewers of the BAFTA TV Awards were less than pleased after Casualty was named the winner of the Soap & Continuing Drama category over long-time favourites such as Emmerdale, EastEnders and Coronation Street.
Speaking of the winning moment, which wasn't fully televised due to time constraints, one fuming fan wrote: "#Eastenders robbed by Casualty again.. we'll do a clean sweep of all the awards in 2024." The show first won the Best Reality and Constructed Factual award during the star-studded ceremony before Claudia later went on to win Best Entertainment Performance for the show.
