Leeds United have not given up hope of re-signing Joe Rodon ahead of the 2024/25 season but could face competition for his signature from Premier League new boys Southampton
Defensive reinforcements will be high on the agenda for Leeds United when the transfer window opens next week. The Whites are down on numbers at the back following Luke Ayling's departure and Joe Rodon heading back to Tottenham after his stellar loan spell.
Supporters would dearly love to see the Whites to re-sign Rodon ahead of the 2024/25 season. The Wales international produced a series of outstanding performances in their march to Wembley. Rodon, who made 50 appearances across all competitions, formed a strong partnership at the heart of their rearguard with Ethan Ampadu. His no-nonsense style of play and excellent reading of the game endeared himself to the United faithful.
United chairman Paraag Marathe has stated there will be transfer funds available for Daniel Farke to bolster the squad but has made it clear that player sales will be required to help balance the books. Crysencio Summerville, the Championship’s Player of the Year, Archie Gray and Wilfried Gnonto are all likely to be the subject of strong transfer interest.
