The stunning walkabout can be found in Rawtenstall in the Rossendale Valley
Rawtenstall is a well kept and thriving village and with a surrounding of gorgeous valleys it's an ideal place to head for a weekend walk.
We've previously wrote about the town centre's resurgence and you can read more about it here to get a sense of the place before visiting. The town centre itself is located close to attractions such as Ski Rossendale and the East Lancashire Railway and it set close to hills and countryside which give in an enclosed feel.
This week's suggested walk is one originally drawn up by Rossendale Connected and should take around 90 minutes to complete. We've amended it to add a stop at Jacksons Bar but there are plenty of alternative stops nearby.The walk starts and ends at the bus station so it's an easy one to reach whether you're using public transport or other means of transport.
The popular spot is a small but friendly café bar which serves up cakes and coffees in addition to pints and is also dog friendly.
