“There’s five of us that started the company,” says actor Matthew Lillard. “I say it jokingly, but we were all having a midlife crisis. We all had kids and been living our careers. We were looking for something else. We’d been gaming together since 1991. We became best friends and were looking for something to do that spoke to our creative instincts. Charlie is an author. Bill and I met in acting school. We had all written scripts together. So we formed this creative nucleus.

When we looked at what they do we realized it’s really hard to do.”
“We can’t do what they do,” said Lillard. “How do we flip the script? So this idea came from Bill...all great ideas come from Bill.”
