One person died early Tuesday morning in an officer-involved shooting in Salt Lake City, authorities said.
A man died early Tuesday morning in an officer-involved shooting that sparked several investigations and left State Street closed in Salt Lake City, authorities said.
"The following contains preliminary information and is a summarization of the facts known to the department at the time of release," according to the statement, released at 5:20 a.m. "There are several investigations underway related to this incident. As those investigations proceed, additional information may develop that could result in some of this information becoming out of date.
It wasn't immediately known if the threats happened inside or outside of the gas station or if it involved any of the employees. Police responded to the 911 call at 2:24 a.m.
