An update has been issued on the winding up of the bust retail company, which started closing down stores in September last year
Wilko 's administrators have revealed progress is being made on the "significant" sale of the failed firm's former Nottinghamshire headquarters. PricewaterhouseCoopers has issued an update on the winding up of the bust retailer, which was based out of Manton Wood enterprise park in Worksop until its collapse last year.
In a Companies House document, which was recently submitted by PwC to update creditors, the management firm said discussions were progressing to sell Wilko's head office at JK House in Worksop. The former headquarters was left in a "controlled exit" as Wilko's stores were closed and was fully vacated on November 3 last year.
PwC explained it could not give further details on negotiation due to the commercial sensitivity, but estimated the company had assets of between £30 million and £60 million overall. It acknowledged the uncompleted sales of the two pieces of real estate meant there was a "level of uncertainty" for those owed money by Wilko.
