Football journalist Tim Vickery shares an update on the kidnapping of Liverpool player Luis Diaz’s parents
Luis Diaz's father has been kidnapped by an illegal armed group called ELN, the Colombian government have confirmed.
His mother, Cilenis Marulanda, has since been released, but his father, Luis Manuel's whereabouts remain unknown. The statement added: "To the ELN we demand the immediate release of Mr. Luis Manuel Diaz, and we remind them that it is their entire responsibility to guarantee his life and integrity. Given the trauma being suffered by Diaz and his family, the star has been left out of Liverpool's last two fixtures.
