Fans are praying for hip-hop legend Fatman Scoop after he was transported by an ambulance to hospital after suffering a medical emergency on stage in Hamden, Connecticut
Legendary hip-hop star Fatman Scoop is reported to have been rushed to hospital on Friday night after he collapsed on stage mid-performance at the Town Center Park in Hamden, Connecticut, leaving panicked concert-goers screaming.
"Nothing going on - on the stage. I just want to say this - Hamden, where y'all at, make some noise for me heavy baby," the performer could be heard saying in the video to shocked fans in the crowd, before they asked what happened to the star. Mayor of Hamden, Lauren Garrett confirmed it was Fatman Scoop who had the medical emergency in a Facebook post. “Tonight, while performing at Hamden Tower Center Park, Isaac Freeman, a.k.a Fatman Scoop, had a medical emergency on stage,” she wrote. He is being transported by ambulance to the hospital. We will provide updates where they are available.
The messages extended to X, formerly known as Twitter as one fan penned: “I REALLY hope he comes out of this ok. Prayers up for Fatman Scoop,” while a fourth wrote: “Praying for Fatman Scoop!”
