Kevin Ryan is confident course and distance winner and Royal Ascot scorer has a favourite's chance in the feature on Merseyside this Saturday
Trainer Kevin Ryan believes Inisherin is ready for his latest crack at Group One glory in this Saturday's Betfair Sprint Cup at Haydock Park.
Despite Inisherin coping with most ground conditions, Ryan feels the going may have not been entirely to Inisherin's liking during that defeat in the July Cup at Headquarters. The North Yorkshire handler added: "It was a funny one really. Knowing the horse very well, I was a little bit concerned after a furlong that he wasn't just striding out as well as he can do coming down the hill.
"These top-class races are what gets us up in the morning and through the winter. We've been so lucky to have horses down the years that can compete at this level in such prestigious races. This fella has always excited us and the thing about it is that Sheikh Mohammed Obaid has said that he is going to stay in training next year. Sometimes you have too short a time with these horses, but we're looking forward to Saturday and we're looking forward to next year with him as well.
