A healthy living fayre took place at Loudoun Academy earlier this month to promote a healthy lifestyle.
There were free healthy snacks, smoothies and drinks, including teas and coffees, all made by pupils and staff and free soup made on the night from fresh vegetables grown in the school garden. Businesses from the community such as QTS came in to teach people about the dangers of energy drinks while the Kilmarnock Community Health Team came in to teach about the dangers of smoking, particularly vaping.The event took place on Wednesday, October 9 and was well attended and supported.Mrs McCrone said: "S4 pupils were completing a Group Talk for the N4 Literacy qualification where they had to create their own Healthy Living event.
