The FBI’s Chicago office announced a $10,000 reward Thursday for information leading to the arrest of Joseph “Troubles” Matos, an alleged gang member charged in the 2021 drive-by killing of a National Guard member.
Joseph “Troubles” Matos is wanted for his alleged involvement in the slaying of a National Guard member in Chicago on July 3, 2021. charged Matos and another man, Gary “Gotti” Roberson, with murder in furtherance of racketeering conspiracy. Roberson, 40, of Chicago, was arrested May 16 and is being held without bond.
Both men are believed to be members of the Milwaukee Kings street gang, which is associated with narcotics trafficking and committing acts of violence to acquire perceived territory, according to a statement from the FBI. If convicted, Matos and Roberson could face the death penalty.in the back and abdomen on the 2200 block of North Lockwood Avenue in the Belmont-Cragin neighborhood.
