The Federal Bureau of Investigations has taken over the investigation into the assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump at a rally in western Pennsylvania.
The FBI is asking anyone who has information to submit audio, video, photos or relevant information to FBI.gov/Butler.FORM TO SUBMIT INFORMATION Around 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, multiple gunshots rang out at the crowded rally. Moments later, the Secret Service swarmed the stage to get to the former president.Trump could be seen with blood on his face from being hit by a bullet in the ear. An attendee at the rally was killed, while at least two other people were critically injured.
On his social media platform, Trump wrote in part: 'I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening. GOD BLESS AMERICA!'Sister station WTAE has received a number of videos during and following the assassination attempt.
