Agent Damien Dussault is considering legal action against the club as further details of its financial plight emerge

Dussault is seeking £7,500 in agents’ fees owed by Featherstone, while his clients Johnathon Ford and Mark Kheirallah are also allegedly owed thousands of pounds by the Championship outfit.

Dussault claims he received some money outstanding by Featherstone at the end of 2022 and during 2023, but that all payments to him stopped completely in July and since then he has been ignored.“I spoke to the RFL but nothing happened,” Dussault said. “I don’t know what’s going to happen. I’m trying to get the RFL to answer me, because I want my money to be paid because I understand Mark Campbell is leaving. I have heard some of the other agents have the same issue.

“I want the RFL to be responsible,” Dussault said. “Maybe this will make the RFL more cautious about teams’ situations, because now it has made such a bad reputation, not just for the Featherstone Rovers but for the RFL.“I don’t understand why they have done nothing about it. We cannot have these types of things happening all the time.

Featherstone CEO Vickers confirmed the individual debt owed to Dussault and said in a statement: “He rejected a payment arrangement with the club, became extremely abusive in his dialogue with the club so all discussions broke down with him.”
