'The rollercoaster of pregnancy!'
Nada Hafez was visibly emotional after beating Elizabeth Tartakovsky Nada Hafez was seven months pregnant when she beat Elizabeth Tartakovsky 15-13 at the Paris Olympics, the Egyptian fencer has revealed. Hafez eliminated her Team USA opponent in the first round of the women’s individual sabre before suffering defeat to South Korean star Jeon Hayoung. The 26-year-old has now taken to Instagram to confirm that she was in fact heavily pregnant when she recorded the Olympic win over Tartakovsky.
‘The rollercoaster of pregnancy is tough on its own, but having to fight to keep the balance of life & sports was nothing short of strenuous, however worth it. ‘I’m writing this post to say that pride fills my being for securing my place in the round of 16! https://www.instagram.com/p/C-A_dPbtIjD/?hl=en-gb&img_index=1 ‘I’m lucky to have shared the trust of my husband @ibrahimihab11 and that of my family to be able to come this far.
