Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has explained how interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy brought the ‘joy’ back to training following the sacking of Erik ten Hag.
Speaking after the win against Leicester, Fernandes, who has scored four goals and assisted a further two in the last four games, has explained how the interim boss approached training. "Probably going forward, you needed to do more tactics and whatever," he added. "For him, in the moment, was just he did it, to be honest, and the training has been really enjoyable. Everyone is feeling like they enjoying the training because he was just bringing that extra joy to the training.
"I appreciated the clear communication of the club, that it was interim for the short term," he said. "It could've been one or two games even, that was the first communication, and they kept me in the loop and said okay, it's gonna be four .
