Our senior Manchester United writer Tyrone Marshall answers your questions on the club and what is going on at Old Trafford. Manchester United have two games left of one of their more unusual seasons in recent memory and their primary aim for the campaign has already been achieved.

Carrick is closing in on being named the club's permanent head coach and once his future is settled the focus will turn to a vital summer transfer window, so there is still plenty going on atto submit your questions, and we'll answer them next week. Here are the answers to some of this week's questions:Money is not going to be Fernandes' driving force this summer and he is on the kind of salary at United that could only be matched in Saudi Arabia, and he is too ambitious to go there right now.

The question is whether one of Europe's elite comes in and activates his release clause of around £56million. That is considered unlikely for a player who turns 32 in September, but not impossible after the season he's had. But with United back on track and building some momentum, the view is that Fernandes will stay. One title with United will mean more than three or four easy Ligue 1 wins with Paris St-Germain, for example.

There is a view around the club that he has invested too much into his six-and-a-half years at United to walk away where there is the hint of good times being around the corner. Can Ayden Heaven be converted into a defensive midfielder? He is brilliant defensively and his ball-carrying skills are excellent. Heaven has had a fantastic start to his United career and was a midfielder throughout his time in Arsenal's academy.

He was only converted to the centre of defence at a relatively late age because of his height and stature. He has taken to that position, however, and his physical abilities and quality on the ball make him a good fit, while left-footed centre-backs are hard to find. He could be used in midfield in extreme circumstances, but I don't see him being converted any time soon.

I'm not sure his passing range is good enough when United are looking for someone whose ability with the ball is truly world-class. That's the million-dollar question. Let's start with midfield, where we can expect at least two and possibly three new additions if they can find a taker for Manuel Ugarte. Expect an elite-level player to replace Casemiro, another high-quality addition and then a squad player.

There is a desire to sign a left-sided player and possibly two, in terms of a left-back and a winger. United are short of options in both departments with Tyrell Malacia, Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford leaving this summer. There could also be a new forward if Joshua Zirkzee leaves, a more low-key, experienced addition. I would guess at five or six new signings.

I'd be very surprised if this happened. United's interest in Tonali has cooled to the point that it seems well down the list of priorities now. Sky has upgraded its Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle to now include HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+, discovery+ and Hayu, as well as 135 channels and full Sky coverage of the Premier League and EFL.

Sky broadcasts more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more with at least 215 live from the top flight alongside Formula 1, darts and golf. Choose Manchester Evening News as a 'Preferred Source' on Google News for quick access to the news you value.
